Al Beruni( A Muslim Scholar)

 ABU RAYHAN MOHAMMAD AL-BIRUNI (973-1039 AD)

he was a great arab muslim scholar of philosophy, astronomy mathematics,chronology, medicine, language.11th century is regarded as age of al biruni. he came to india with great conqueror Mehmud Ghaznavi he did a huge research on indian culture he translated greeks book into arabic. he was good in speaking persian turkish syriac sanskrit roman he also translated indian works into arabic he took astronomical observations in ghazna kabul peshawar multan he wrote many books like kitab ul hind al qanun al masudi..athar al bagiya. tarikhul hind, he translated patanjali into arabic he wrote 27 books on geography cartography comets meteors geodesy and climatology he also wrote kitab al tahqiq harkat ul shams on the movement of sun. he studied calenders of many nation he also inquired about about differences in time day and night in different regions he also measured shortest distance b/w moon nd earth.he also compared fossils discovered in arabia khwarizm along caspian sea he also contributes in knowing source of nile he also gave information about land of turks he was the first person to gave right information about indus he also studied samakhya gita patanjali vishnu dharma soma puranas.

 KHUTBA  E HAJJATUL VIDA PROPHET MOHAMMAD(SAW) SAID: 1-"Behold! All practices of paganism and ignorance are under my feet. The blood revenge of  the days of ignorance(pre Islamic culture) is remitted. Usury is forbidden". 2-" o people fear Allah concerning women. Verily you have taken them on the security of Allah, and have made their persons  lawful unto you by words of allah!
