AL MASUDI (9TH CENTURY)
was a great muslim geographer, historian, world traveller, prolific writer. he was genius in cosmology , meteorology. oceanography. he gave information about- limits of continents and oceans, location and size of seven seas of east, seas situated between arab states and china,caspian sea is not connected with any sea , atlantic ocean and indian ocean are connected, appreciated in the role streams to structure evolution of landforms and cycle of erosion, winds as a source of energy, life in a city diminished man's courage , wisdom physical fitness intelligence and charity of arabs. he visited syria, persia, central asia, georgia, mesopotamia.
