Prophet Mohammad's(SAW) Sermon at Farewell Pilgrimage

 KHUTBA  E HAJJATUL VIDA


PROPHET MOHAMMAD(SAW) SAID:

1-"Behold! All practices of paganism and ignorance are under my feet. The blood revenge of  the days of ignorance(pre Islamic culture) is remitted. Usury is forbidden".


2-" o people fear Allah concerning women. Verily you have taken them on the security of Allah, and have made their persons  lawful unto you by words of allah! It is incumbent upon them to honour their conjugal rights and not to commit  acts of  impropriety, which, if they do, you have the authority to chastise  them , yet not severily. If your wives refrain from impropriety and are faithful to you, clothe and feed them suitably".


3-"verily, I have left Among you the book of Allah, if you hold fast to it, you shall never go astray".


4-" o people, I am not succeeded by a prophet and you are not succeeded by any nation. So I recommend you to worship to Lord , to pray the five prayers, to fast  Ramadan and to offer the zakat (poor due) of your provision willingly. I recommend you to perform the pilgrimage to the sacred house of your Lord and to obey those who are in charge of you, then you will be awarded to enter the paradise of your lord".


5-" your blood your property and your honour are as sacred as this day, this month and this city( Makkah and the surrounding areas)".


6-" you will go back to be resurrected (after death) to your lord. There you will you be accounted for your deeds. So do not turn into people who go astray and kill one another."


7-" any wrongdoer does not wrong another except himself. So, let no one of you be blamed for the acts of his father or his son."

 SHEIKH MUJADDID ALF E SANI (R.AH.) Sheikh Ahmad Sirhindi (Mujaddid Alf e Sani) was born in 1564. His lineage goes back to Hazrat Omar(RA). He received his early education from his father Sheikh Abdul Ahad. Then he went to Silakot for further studies, Silakot was the centre of knowledge of that time. He was a disciple of Sheikh Baqi Billah (R.AH.) After completing his education, he went to Sialkot, Punjab for preaching of Islam. At that time Islam was badly distorting in the wake of ‘Deen e Ilahi’ coined by Mughal Emperor Akbar, Islam was losing its basic spirit. There was a need of a man who could counter these Heresies. After the death of Akbar, His son Jahangir continued his father teachings. Mujaddid Alf e Sani raised voice against Deen e Ilahi, hence got imprisoned by Jahangir.  Mosque of Curataba (Spain)  Its size is 668 x 440 feet, which means it is the largest mosque in the world for that place. Rs 10 lakh was spent on the construction of Jama Masjid, Delhi, but Rs 1.5 crore was spent on this mosque.Blessedly, this mosque is one of the unique in the world. It was built by Sultan Abdul Rahman Al Dakhil on the model of Jama Masjid in Damascus, after which his people found it and reached Takmil.  The grandeur of this mosque can be gauged from the fact that its minbar was made of pure ivory and was studded with many jewels. It was sold for 35,000 dinars per coin, which means in current times its price was around 35 lakh dinars. This mosque has 1718 pure marble altars whose designs are like Kamal-e-Fan's.In the evening, there were 10,000 chandeliers, the rest were made of brass, each of them illuminated 1480 glasses, the lamp on which 36 seers of oil burned, there were restrictions on its cleanliness of 300 Farrash.
