Here's the English translation:
*Hasan bin Sabah – Part 1*
Hasan bin Sabah had once been a classmate of Nizam al-Mulk Tusi, the grand vizier of Sultan Shah bin Alp Arslan Seljuki, in the land of Syria. Through Nizam al-Mulk, he tried to gain influence in the royal court, but then, considering it inappropriate to remain there, he went into the service of Abu Muslim, the fort commander and a relative of Nizam al-Mulk. By entering his company, he began spreading a web of his conspiracies.
By chance, Abu Muslim came to know that spies from the Fatimid state of Egypt were coming and going to Hasan bin Sabah. He questioned Hasan bin Sabah about it. When Hasan bin Sabah realized that the secret of his plot had been exposed, he secretly fled from there and reached Egypt to Al-Mustansir, the Fatimid ruler.[Ubaydid]
Al-Mustansir treated Hasan bin Sabah with great honor. Hasan pledged allegiance [bay'ah] at the hand of Mustansir. Mustansir granted Hasan the position of _Da'i al-Kabir_ [Chief Missionary] and sent him toward Persia and Iraq, saying: "Go there and invite people to my Imamate and Caliphate."
Mustansir had three sons: Ahmad, Nizar, and Abu al-Qasim. At the time of departure, Hasan bin Sabah asked Mustansir: "After you, my Imam will be Nizar, correct?" After Mustansir's death, the vizier of the state and Mustansir's sister conspired and placed Abu Muslim on the throne, and he became the ruler of Egypt. But Hasan bin Sabah did not accept his Imamate and continued to regard Nizar as the heir apparent. Therefore, Hasan bin Sabah’s group is also known by the name _Nizari_.
Hasan bin Sabah had gathered many men into his group and gained considerable strength. A series of battles began. While this series was just taking shape, Hasan bin Sabah assigned the Batini sect to assassinate Nizam al-Mulk Tusi [the vizier of Seljuk Sultan Malik Shah]. Accordingly, this group seized the opportunity and killed Nizam al-Mulk.
After this success, the morale of Hasan bin Sabah and his companions increased greatly, and they began seizing territory without delay. Hasan bin Sabah’s power and prestige grew rapidly, and the authority and sovereignty of Hasan bin Sabah’s rule became established.
