Here's the English translation:

*History of the Quraysh Tribe – Part 3*

From a linguistic perspective, the word 'Arab' means desert and barren land where there is no water or vegetation. Looking at the geographical conditions here, it is mostly desert and sandy areas, due to which outsiders and invaders could not easily reach here.

The Quraysh tribe split into several branches, the most famous of which were — Jumah, Sahm, Adi, Makhzum, Taym, Zahra, and the tribes of Qusayy bin Kilab [which included Abd-ud-Dar bin Qusayy, Asad bin Abdul Izza bin Qusayy, and Abd-Manaf bin Qusayy].

The Abd-Manaf tribe had four sections: Shams, Nawfal, Muttalib, and Hashim.

In Yemen, the people of Sheba were one of the oldest known groups of pure Arabs. During 1300 to 650 BCE, their people were known as the 'Minaeans' and their kings were called 'Mukarrib of Sheba'. Their capital was Sarwah, also known as Khariba.

Under the leadership of Ardashir [who founded the Sasanian Empire in 226 CE], the Persians achieved such unity and strength that they were able to subjugate the Arabs.

The Byzantines used the 'Quda'ah' tribe to defend the Byzantine borders against Arab nomads.[Bedouins]
