Hazrat Adam (Peace be upon him) – Part 3
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas that Adam (Peace be upon him)
was sent down at a place called Dahna, between Makkah Mukarramah and
Ta’if.
Hazrat Hasan Basri states: Adam (Peace be upon him) was sent down
in Hind, Hawwa (Peace be upon her) in Jeddah, Iblis at a place called
Dastamiyan a few miles from Basra, and the serpent was sent down in
Isfahan.
Whereas Hazrat Ibn Umar says: Adam (Peace be upon him) was sent
down on Mount Safa and Hawwa (Peace be upon her) on Mount Marwa.
“O people, fear your Lord who created you from a single soul and
from it created its mate, and from the two of them spread many men and women
across the earth. And fear Allah, through whom you ask one another, and beware
of breaking family ties. Indeed, Allah is ever watchful over you.”
_“And, O Muhammad (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him),
recite to them the true account of the two sons of Adam, Habil and Qabil, when
they each offered a sacrifice, and it was accepted from one of them but not
from the other. Qabil said to Habil, ‘I will surely kill you.’ He said, ‘Allah
only accepts from the righteous. If you should raise your hand against me to
kill me, I shall not raise my hand against you to kill you. Indeed, I fear
Allah, Lord of the worlds. I wish that you be burdened with my sin as well as
your own sin, then you will be among the inmates of the Fire, and that is the
recompense of the wrongdoers.’”
_But his soul prompted him to kill his brother, so he killed him
and became among the losers. Then Allah sent a crow, scratching the ground, to
show him how to conceal the corpse of his brother. He said, “Woe to me! Was I
not even able to be like this crow and conceal the corpse of my brother?”
