*Residents of Amroha*


*1) Hasani*  

Among them, the largest family is the descendants of Syed Sirajuddin Qadri, whose lineage reaches Hazrat Mohiuddin Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani, may Allah sanctify his secret. Most of them reside in Mohalla Chilla; some people also live in Sali Sarai. 


The second family is that of Hazrat Shah Shakarullah Qadri, of the Dastar Siya [Black Turban]. Hazrat Shah Sahib’s lineage connects to Abu Turab Siraj-e-Quddoos. In this family, only a few individuals remain now.


*2) Husaini*  

Among them, the most numerous and prominent family is the descendants of Syed-ul-Arifeen Syed Hasan-ul-Mulaqqab Syed Sharfuddin Shah Wilayat. Hazrat’s lineage connects to Hazrat Imam Ali Naqi. These Naqvi Sayyids reside in most neighborhoods of the city. 


From his elder son Qazi Syed Amir Ali, most people live in Mohalla Lakda Haqqani, some households in Mohalla Kafi, and many in Mohalla Sarwar. They are also the caretakers of Mulaqat Ba. Besides these, some live in Bareilly, Delhi, etc. 


From his younger son Syed Abdul Aziz, most people reside in Mohalla Darbar Kalan, Gujri, Shapath Pota, Maja Pota, Asrani Pota, Mohalla Chhawra, Katra Ghulam Ali, and Raja Sarai.


*3) Alvi*  

In the past, there was a family of Alvi Sayyids here, descendants of Hazrat Imam Hanafiya bin Hazrat Ali ibn Abi Talib – the family of Hazrat Shah Abdul Majid Alvi. But no individual of this family has been present in Amroha for a long time. The family of Hadith Shahbazuddin, however, does call themselves Alvi.


*4) Jafari*  

Among the descendants of Hazrat Ja’far Tayyar ibn Abi Talib, there are some families here. The first and well-known family is that of Hazrat Muhammad Fayyaz, may his secret be sanctified. No descendant of Hazrat remains in Amroha now. However, from the lineage of his brother and spiritual successor Khalifa Hazrat Shah Asaduddin, there is the family of Miyan Mauj. Among them, only one person, Majisa Alauddin Jafari, remains here now – may God keep him safe.

FREDERICK II His court was half Oriental and full of highly educated Arabs and some of these were associated in the education of the young King .now they were at some pains to make their point of view clear to him. Maulvi Samiullah Khan

 Maulvi Samiullah Khan  He was a close aziz of Sir Syed. Born in 1834 in Delhi, after getting Arabic-Persian education, he got law education and got the post of Munsif. He had a keen eye on the law, hence gave clan-like decisions, but did this work according to his temperament. After not getting the desired results, he resigned and started practicing law.He started it on the very first day. Sir Syed's followers are helpful in his education movement. When a Madrasa was established in Aligarh under his mother, its supervision was handed over to him. He carried out his duties with utmost audacity. On the issue of Syed Mahmood's murder, he spoke to Sir Syed. There was a disagreement and there was a bad temper.But his sympathy for the college remained with him till the end. He died in Aligarh on 17th April 1908. As per his will, his body was taken to Delhi.
