Turks
In Amroha there is only one family of Turks, settled here for
about 40 years. That is, the family of Ata Nawaz, Sharif Khan, etc. Barkat
Husain Nizamuddin Sayyid — they are Turks. At the time of Amir Timur Sahib
Qiran’s conquest of Rum, he captured some of the Turk tribes, known by another
name, and brought them with him to Iran. On the recommendation of Hazrat Sheikh
Shafiuddin Ishaq Ardabili and his grandson Khwaja Ali, these people were freed
and settled in Iran itself. The family of Sheikh Quddus of Sura was a Sayyid
from Jannat. That community was extremely beneficial.
